While some pet owners choose to dress their pets in pet apparel, others like simple pet clothing items; such as collars and sweaters. Apparel for a pet can be sweaters, coats, boots, or t-shirts. All of which are popular items for small animals.

Pet apparel is popular with small dogs and cats because it is cute and fashionable. However, the clothing will also help an animal stay warm if nature has not provided a thick winter coat. That is why sweaters and coats are popular on short haired and hairless animals.

Pet apparel is sold in many pet specialty stores. Some stores even offer custom creations for that special pet. Custom items allow a pet owner to spoil themselves and their pet, and people tend to enjoy doing both.
